A little further you reach the Bergkino “Steineggerhof”, a special place with wooden seats and a stylized cinema frame. The focus is on the impressive Schlern, flanked by the Rosengarten, and the earth pyramids of Steinegg can also be seen.
The path around the Pstosser Bühl passes an open-air exhibition with astronomical themes. Those traveling with children will also stop at the forest playground Pstosser Bühl, an ideal place for little adventurers.
It is a varied route that delights with many small highlights and a great panorama.
The hike starts at the village square in Steinegg at the Lex Market shop, following the trail markers [2 | 7 | 8]. First you cross a residential area, then come forest and meadow paths. You follow trail [8] to the junction with trail [8A], which you follow to the Spitzköfele, an idyllic viewpoint with seating and a picnic table, ideal for a short break.
From there you hike a little uphill, turn left onto trail [6] and follow it downhill to the Kummerhof. Via the farm entrance, you reach the main road again. From here you walk a short distance to the right, cross the road at the chapel "Weißes Bild" and follow trail [2B] uphill to the Hotel Steineggerhof.
Behind the hotel, trail [2B] leads directly to the Bergkino Steineggerhof, where you can enjoy the panorama from Ritten over the Eisack valley to Schlern, Tschafon, and Rosengarten on comfortable wooden seats. Then continue on trail [2B] past the open-air exhibition and forest playground at Pstosser Bühl. Continuing on trail [2B], you descend back to the village and reach the starting point again.
