A powerful landslide a long time ago created a mysterious world of rocks at the foot of the Latemar. This adventurous hike begins at the mysterious Lake Karer and leads through the Karer Forest, famous for its valuable sound wood used in instrument making, past the Mitterleger viewpoint into the Latemar rock labyrinth. There you pass bizarre rock formations, narrow gorges, and stone passages, where you sometimes have to use your hands for support. From the labyrinth, there are repeatedly spectacular views of the Latemar and the Rosengarten. A hiking experience full of discoveries and adventures.
The route leads from Lake Karer along the forest road [11] to the Mitterleger. From here, it continues on the labyrinth trail (path [20]). At the fork, turn left onto path [18] and then follow path [21], which leads to the Mitterleger. The return path follows path [11] back to Lake Karer.
