Latemar.Natura: Eggentaler Bergkino is a captivating circular hike that delights families, hikers, and nature lovers. Starting at the Oberholz chairlift top station in Obereggen, the trail winds through peaceful forests and scenic alpine meadows to two unforgettable highlights: the Latemar.360° viewing platform with breathtaking 360° Dolomite views, and the Eggental Mountain Cinema, a natural “theatre” with wooden loungers facing the stunning mountain landscape. From here, you can take in sweeping views of the Rosengarten, Schlern, and Latemar. Along the way, cozy alpine huts and educational nature stations invite you to relax and explore. A hike full of beauty, wonder, and inspiration.

Directions

The hike begins at the top station of the Oberholz chairlift in Obereggen. From there, follow trail [18] to the spectacular Latemar.360° platform with 360° views of the UNESCO Dolomites. Continue along trail [22] to reach the Eggental Mountain Cinema, a unique viewing spot with large wooden loungers and an unforgettable alpine panorama. The trail continues to the junction above the Absam-Maierl lift station, then leads down to the cozy Mayrl Alm, perfect for a break. The return follows trail [23], which leads past a variety of educational nature stations back to the Oberholz top station. The entire loop is well signposted, scenic, and suitable for families.

The "Eggentaler Bergkino - Latemarium.Natura" is not directly accessible by public transport. From Obereggen you can take the Oberholz chairlift up to 2,096 m and then hike along path [no. 18] to the 360° panorama platform and finally along path [no. 22] below the beautiful mountain scenery of the Latemar to the mountain cinema.

How to get there

The "Mountain Cinema - Laab Alm Hut" is not directly accessible by public transport. From the bus stop "Deutschnofen, Bar Luise" it is about 50 minutes on foot. The hike is rewarded by a wonderful view of the surrounding mountain peaks!
