This easy hike from Hotel Moseralm at the foot of the Rosengarten leads to the picturesque Frin meadows, from where you can enjoy an impressive 360-degree mountain panorama.

This simple circular hike combines impressive scenery to enjoy and reflect with a cozy stop at a traditional alpine hut. The route starts at Moseralm. After a short, gentle ascent on a forest road, you reach the extensive Frin meadows, which delight with their magnificent view of the Latemar, Rosengarten, and Schlern. Depending on the season, the meadows appear in full bloom, lush summer green, or autumnal variety of colors. Along the route, you pass the Ochsenhütte, which invites hikers to a well-deserved rest with regional specialties. The return path runs along an idyllic forest trail.

Directions

The hike starts at Hotel Moseralm and takes you along path [16] to the idyllic Frin meadows, from where you have an impressive view of the Dolomites. Then you cross Nigerstraße and follow path [1A] to the rustic Ochsenhütte – an ideal place for a relaxed break. Path [1A] continues above the road to the Kaiserstein parking lot. The return path follows the picturesque forest trail [9], which gently brings you back to Hotel Moseralm.
