De la Frommer Alm au lac Karer

The starting point of the hike is the Frommer Alm hut. Below the road (Nigerstraße), follow path [1A] towards the Karerpass | Passo di Costalunga. At the junction with path [16], continue across the expansive Frin meadows, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar. Passing the valley station of the Tschein chairlift, trail [6] then leads to the suspension bridge and on to Lake Carezza. The path is suitable for baby-buggies.

- 187 from Steinegg | Collepietra, Gummer | San Valentino + change 180/184 and 186 (or 182 + change 180/184 and 186)

Parking: Parking lot at the Nigerstraße | via Nigra beneath the Frommer Alm hut

ALTERNATIVE:
Drive or take the bus to Welschnofen | Nova Levante center, at the cable car, then ride the cable car up to the Frommer Alm hut. Return by bus from Lake Carezza to Welschnofen | Nova Levante.
