This winter hike leads from Welschnofen | Nova Levante towards the traditional Schiller Hof hut. The trail starts in the village center and gradually ascends through snowy meadows and forests. Along the way, you can enjoy views of the impressive mountain landscapes of the Dolomites, including the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar.

Directions

This winter hike starts from the parking lot of the cable car Welschnofen | Nova Levante. From the main road (Karerseestraße | Via Carezza), walk a short distance to the crossing next to the ski rental (Rosengartenstraße | Via Catinaccio). From there, path [4A] and [5] lead to the wolf pit. Continue on path [1] to Schiller Hof hut (permanently closed). On the return to Welschnofen | Nova Levante, follow path [1] first and then path [4A].
Variant: From Welschnofen | Nova Levante, take the Laurin I cable car up to the Frommeralm hut – path [1A] – Nigerpass | Passo Nigra – path [1] – Schiller Hof hut.

ATTENTION: Schiller Hof hut closed.
