We are sorry to inform you that the Christmas market 'Christmas Magic at Lake Carezza' will not be held this year.
Although the market has attracted great interest in previous years, it was overshadowed by traffic problems, especially last winter.
For this reason, as well as to preserve the values of 'Christmas Magic', the organising committee had developed a new concept for this year. Despite intensive efforts, we found that some important prerequisites for the implementation of the new concept were not met and that the safety of visitors could not be guaranteed.
For this reason, the 'Christmas Magic' market will not be held this year.
However, we will be happy to welcome you to Carezza.
A winter dream awaits the visitors at the "Christmas Magic at Lake Carezza" in the Eggental-Val d'Ega - only 20 minutes from the provincial capital of Bolzano: a small new Christmas market surrounded by the legendary scenery of Lake Carezza and the two Dolomite mountains Rosengarten/Catinaccio and Latemar
in the sense of a quiet, cosy and contemplative Advent season:
Wooden huts that look like oversized lanterns, typical South Tyrolean products and handicrafts, fabulous snow and ice sculptures as well as a life-size nativity scene and various wood-burning stoves make the Lake Carezza tour a unique Christmas experience! Visitors are immersed in a fabulous winter wonderland, marked by tradition and customs and accompanied by Christmas atmosphere, singing and scents.
The lake tour is cleared of snow and illuminated in a Christmassy way,
visitors can expect a pleasant winter walk in the quiet nature.
Is it really December already? Almost! It is hard to believe that Jack Frost is on his way, snowy white blankets in hand, with the first snowflakes already covering the mountains! And, if you listen carefully, you can hear him calling from the Val d’Ega - the old man of the snows and his white-capped mountains await their loyal fans – and plenty of new faces – all set for adventures on the slopes! And, let’s be honest: haven’t you too been longing for his call? ;)
