This winter hike starts at the Paolina parking lot and follows a well-maintained path through an enchanting snow-covered landscape. The path gently descends, offering impressive views of the snow-clad mountain ranges of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar along the way. On the way, you will also pass the small St Joseph's Chapel. After a leisurely walk, you arrive at the picturesque Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza), which in winter is framed by a thick blanket of snow and exudes a special calm. The lake invites you to pause and rewards hikers with a unique panorama.

Directions

The starting point is at the Paolina parking lot behind the skipass office. From there, follow path [6] down to St. Joseph's Church, turn right, and walk along the König-Laurin-Straße | Via Re Laurino to the playground. Just before the Kupferkanne restaurant, turn left and follow the winter hiking path to the Schönblickstraße | Via Bellavista. Continue following the signs for the Lake Carezza hiking path [6], cross the suspension bridge to the Lake Carezza parking lot, and continue through the underpass to the lake.
