The snowshoe hike leads from Welschnofen | Nova Levante to the snow-covered Lake Carezza, offering many beautiful views of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar along the way.

This snowshoe hike starts in Welschnofen | Nova Levante and begins with a somewhat steeper ascent. However, the effort is quickly rewarded with beautiful views as soon as you reach the Stadl Alm hut. From here, there is a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar, as well as the snow-covered alpine pastures.
From the Stadl Alm hut, the path continues through the fairytale-like Latemar forest. On a well-maintained path, it eventually leads to the Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza), one of the most famous natural gems of the Dolomites, whose winter scenery provides a perfect conclusion to the tour.

From the parking lot of the cable car Welschnofen | Nova Levante, walk down the sidewalk to the intersection with path [27], where the snowshoe hike begins. On path [27], you will reach the Stadl Alm hut with your snowshoes while tackling a steady ascent. Afterwards, continue without snowshoes first on path [25], then on path [25A], and then again with snowshoes on path [8] to the Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza). The return is along the same route.

Alternative: Return by bus 180 to Welschnofen | Nova Levante.

ATTENTION: The Stadl Alm hut is closed in winter.
