The route follows a well-prepared path and offers an impressive view of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio. The Messnerjoch hut invites you to stop and relax. Here, you can enjoy a warm drink and homemade specialties while taking in the view of the winter mountain landscape.

This winter hike starts at the parking area below Frommer Alm hut. The route first leads uphill to the top station of the Tiers cable car, then follows trail [1A] above the Nigerstraße | Via Nigra, which runs through the snowy forest to the Nigerpass | Passo Nigra.

From there, the route continues along forest road trail [1] to the Messnerjoch hut. Breathtaking, panoramic views can be enjoyed from here. Return via the same route.

Alternatively, you can take a shorter option by starting from the Nigerpass | Passo Nigra.
