Tour des 358 fermes

The Laurin I cable car takes you comfortably up the first 560 metres of altitude; you go from Welschnofen/Nova Levante (1182 m) to the Hut Frommer Alm (1743 m). Via the trail entrance you reach a gravel path, where you keep to the right. Soon afterwards the trail crosses the Niger road and you continue along the road to the Nigerpass/Passo Nigra. Here you branch off to the left and the forest path leads leisurely through the forest. The Farm Hagneralm and the Farm Schillerhof invite you to take a break and enjoy the fantastic view of the mountain ranges of the Rosengarten/Catinaccio and the Latemar. Then pass the four-metre-deep wolf pit, where it is said that the last wolf was caught in 1822. After about another 5 km you reach the Restaurant Lärchenwald. To the right of the Lärchenwald, follow the road to the crossroads, where you turn left and head towards Gummer/San Valentino. Continue along the main road for about 3.7 km until the road to Welschnofen/Nova Levante branches off to the left. After a good 6 km you reach the starting point.

The tour can be started from Welschnofen/Nova Levante or Gummer/San Valentino and runs in an anti-clockwise direction.
