The route follows a well-prepared path and offers an impressive view of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio. The Almhütte Messnerjoch hut invites you to stop and relax. Here, you can enjoy a warm drink and homemade specialties while taking in the view of the winter mountain landscape.
Directions
This winter hike begins at the parking lot below the Frommeralm hut. You follow path [1A] below the Nigerstraße | Via Nigra, which transitions into a well-prepared, groomed winter hiking path to the Nigerpass | Passo Nigra. From there, it goes along the forest road path [1] to the Messnerjoch hut. Breathtaking, panoramic views can be enjoyed from here. Return via the same route.
Alternatively, you can take a shorter option by starting from the Nigerpass | Passo Nigra.
