As part of the CleanUP Days, Georg Thaler, Sustainability Officer at Oberalp, will give a talk on sustainability and circular economy in mountain sports at the Hotel Passo Carezza.
Given the growing popularity of mountain sports and their environmental impact, it is crucial to find sustainable solutions. The concept of circular economy plays a key role in this, aiming to use resources as efficiently as possible to minimize waste and environmental damage.
Georg Thaler will present Oberalp's Net-Zero strategy and explain how the Circular Design Guide aims to help develop products with lower negative impacts on our environment while extending their lifespan. Another focus will be the "Single Use Plastics Project," which addresses the reduction and recycling of single-use plastics — an essential step toward reducing environmental impact in mountain and nature areas.
Before the talk, there is the opportunity to join the Community Clean Up Hike with Patron, where litter will be collected together.
