Last stage of the Perlenrundwanderweg: from Deutschnofen via St. Veit and Karneid back to Kardaun – ideal for long-distance hikers who enjoy diverse landscapes and culture.

The fifth and final stage of the Perlenrundwanderweg leads you on a varied path from Deutschnofen back down into the valley to Kardaun. Experience the impressive combination of gentle nature and cultural highlights along the way. Passing charming villages like St. Veit and Karneid, you repeatedly enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. This stage is ideal for everyone who wants to discover authentic South Tyrolean life with its diverse landscape and history. After the hike, cozy places to rest and good bus connections await you.

Directions

The last stage starts in Deutschnofen. From there, follow the European long-distance path E5 towards Wölflhof. After Wölflhof, proceed downhill on path [3] to the fork, where you turn onto path [5A]. Follow this to the Gasthof Sonne in Eggental. Then the route continues along the Perlenweg to St. Veit, from there to Karneid, and finally continues ever downhill to Kardaun.

At all important points (Deutschnofen, Gasthof Sonne, Karneid, and Kardaun) there are bus stops that allow a comfortable return or onward journey.
