The fourth stage of the Perlenrund hiking trail captivates with a varied route full of scenic highlights. From Obereggen, the path leads along beautiful alpine trails through green meadows, past traditional alpine huts, and into the silent world of the mountains. The ascent to the Reiter Joch is rewarded with an impressive panorama of the surrounding Dolomite peaks – an unforgettable moment for all nature enthusiasts.
After the crossing, the path descends gently through forests and over sunny clearings to Deutschnofen, where various dining and overnight options are available. This stage is ideal for experienced hikers looking for original nature, expansive views, and a genuine mountain experience – a gem among hiking days.
The fourth stage starts in Obereggen. From the village center, you hike uphill on path [9] past the idyllic Eggental alpine pastures. The path steadily ascends through open alpine meadows and light forests up to the Reiter Joch (Passo di Pampeago), where a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding Dolomites awaits.
From Reiter Joch, stay on path [9] and continue southwards to the Lavazè Pass. Upon arrival, switch to path [2], which gently descends through forest and meadow landscapes to the Neuhütt Alm – a good place to rest.
Then continue on path [1] towards Deutschnofen. The path mostly goes pleasantly downhill through quiet sections of forest. Upon arrival in Deutschnofen, you will find various dining and overnight options as well as a bus stop for the return journey or onward travel.
