Randonnée familiale de Karersee au monument Elisabeth

This leisurely hike begins in Karersee at the Paolina valley station parking lot. From there, the path follows trail [6], passing the idyllic St. Josef Chapel and the Lake & River restaurant, to the Karersee grain mill. Here, turn left and continue along trail [6] along Schönblickstraße, passing charming old farmhouses. At Sohler Hof, turn left onto the narrow forest path [3], which gently leads through the forest to a small clearing. There is the Elisabeth monument, commemorating Empress Elisabeth's visit in 1897. The return is along the same route. Along the way, enjoy impressive views of the former Grand Hotel Karersee where the Empress once stayed. For a cozy stop, Gasthof Meierei or Ladritscher Hof invite you.
