The easy hike from the Hotel Moseralm at the foot of the Catinaccio massif leads to the picturesque Frinwiesen meadows with an impressive 360-degree mountain backdrop.

This easy circular hike combines breathtaking scenery for moments of enjoyment and reflection with a cozy stop at a traditional alpine hut. The tour starts at the hotel Moseralm. After a short and gentle ascent along a forest road, you reach the wide-open Frin meadows, offering magnificent views of the Latemar, Rosengarten | Catinaccio, and Schlern | Sciliar mountains. Depending on the season, the meadows shine in vibrant blossoms, lush summer green, or a colorful autumn palette. Further along the route, you’ll pass the Ochsenhütte hut, where hikers are warmly welcomed with regional specialties for a well-deserved break. The return path leads through an idyllic forest trail.

Directions

The hike starts at the hotel Moseralm and takes you along path [16] to the idyllic Frin meadows, from where you have an impressive view of the Dolomites. Continue to the Nigerstraße | Via Nigra road, which you cross to follow path [1A] to the rustic Ochsenhütte hut - an ideal place for a relaxing break. Path [1A] continues above the road to the Kaiserstein car park. The way back is via the picturesque forest path [9], which takes you comfortably back to the hotel Moseralm.
