Every winter, the meadows and slopes at the foot of the Latemar and Rosengarten massifs are transformed once again into ski slopes for beginners and expert skiers alike. For soaring up – then whizzing down!
The ski areas of Obereggen and Carezza feature some 90 kilometres of pistes and 31 assorted lifts – all just 20 kilometres from the provincial capital of Bolzano/Bozen, right in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites! Obereggen is a ski area for true winter sports fans, where you can find the Latemar Sixpack with its half-dozen challenging black slopes and one of Italy’s best snowparks – while the Carezza ski area is ideal for a family holiday. Both ski resorts promise perfectly groomed slopes, with fun guaranteed whichever you choose!
In addition to the ski buses, the Latemar Ronda – an essential part of the fun in the Dolomite snow, by the way! – also links the two ski areas: the best way to get to know them both is with an Eggental ski guide from one of the ski schools. And don't forget to pay a visit to one of the numerous local ski huts, of course. A hard day’s skiing naturally calls for sustenance of the culinary kind!
One great little tip is that the Valle Silver ski pass (or a combination ticket) will allow you to enjoy both ski areas with just one pass. And, if you want to extend your ski adventure from 90 to 1,200 kilometres of slopes and from 31 to 450 lifts... we recommend the Dolomiti-Superski Pass, which lets you use every slope of every ski area in the Dolomites!
Whether on the slopes or off, please always act in a careful and conscious manner in the mountains and on the ski slopes – and follow all safety instructions.
