Discover the Eggental between Rosengarten and Latemar

Not far from Bolzano/Bozen, the regional capital, can be found the Eggental valley home to seven mountain villages and two of the most famous ranges in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage: the Rosengarten and Latemar massifs. A green valley in both senses, it is ideal whether for outdoor activities or for relaxing in the natural surroundings.

The mountain world of the Eggental valley offers a year-round natural backdrop to adventurers, sports fans, bon vivants, exclusive holidaymaker, nature lovers and families. Enjoy its wealth of natural, cultural and historic landmarks, not to mention local legends – all in a spirit of environmental awareness!

The snow outdoor offer includes 2 Dolomiti Superski areas with a total of 90 km of slopes, 80 km of cross-country ski trails, 160 km of groomed winter hiking trails, 150 km of snowshoeing, 3 toboggan runs and 2 snow parks. In the warmer season, Val d'Ega offers 500 km of hiking trails, 200 km of mountain bike trails, 4 climbing routes and 2 golf courses.

How to get there?

The Eggental valley is located in South Tyrol, in the heart of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Whether by train, bus, car or plane, the Eggental valley can be reached in many different ways. 

By trainGreen Option

Coming to South Tyrol by train is both relaxing and environmentally friendly: just sit back, read a book and enjoy the passing landscape – stress-free.

By Bus

Get on the coach, watch the landscape go by, or take a nap... your holiday will start even before your arrival, as the bus will very often take you right to your accommodation.

By Car

You can reach the Eggental valley by car from the A22 Brenner autobahn: from the north, follow Innsbruck-Brennero-Bolzano Nord/Eggental, while from the south follow Verona-Bolzano Nord/Eggental. You can reach the Eggental valley and your accommodation from the Bolzano Nord/Eggental exit in around 20 minutes.

By Plane

South Tyrol airport is located at Bolzano. The closest airports are Innsbruck to the north, Venice and Verona to the south. Flight connections are extensive and allow travellers to travel independently. South Tyrol is less than two hours by car from Verona and Innsbruck.
