Eggental Tourismus Gen. is committed to making its website eggental.com accessible in accordance with applicable legal requirements and WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.

The website is based on HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript and is regularly reviewed for accessibility. The source code follows semantic structure and modern web standards.

The page structure follows a logical hierarchy (H1–H6) using semantic HTML5 tags such as <header>, <main>, <nav>, and <footer>. The language is correctly set with lang="en".

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The evaluation is based on an internal assessment conducted in June 2025.

Non-compliance with accessibility regulations

Images and icons: Not all visuals have appropriate alt texts or proper ARIA attributes.
Keyboard navigation: In elements like sliders, calendars, filters, or menus, keyboard navigation is partially limited. Keyboard focus is not always clearly visible.
Structure & ARIA: Missing structural headings and essential ARIA attributes like aria-label, aria-expanded, aria-live.
Contrast & readability: Some text areas have insufficient color contrast or too small font sizes. 200% scaling is not always ensured.
Autoplay: Some sliders lack stop controls for autoplay.
Forms: Missing <label> elements or clear error messages.
"Read more" links: Some links are not self-explanatory.

Videos: Some videos lack audio descriptions. Adding them is currently considered a disproportionate burden.

c) Content outside the scope

PDFs and Office documents published before September 23, 2018 are not fully accessible.
