The fastest way to reach Val d'Ega! 

Val d'Ega is located in South Tyrol, right in the heart of the Dolomites. 
The valley can be reached by car, by train, by bus or by airplane.

The nearest international airports are in Innsbruck (120 km) in the north and Verona (150 km) in the south.
Other nearby airports: Munich (300 km), Venice (270 km), Treviso (280 km), Bergamo (270 km), Milano Linate and Milano Malpensa (350 km). 

From Innsbruck Airport to South Tyrol: 
  • The Flixbus line from Innsbruck Airport arrives at Innsbruck main station every 15-30 minutes (running time approx. 20 minutes).
  • The Alto Adige Bus departs up to five times daily, seven days a week from Innsbruck Airport to South Tyrol.
  • Other possibilities: car rental, taxi or shuttle services from Innsbruck to South Tyrol.
From Verona Airport to South Tyrol: 
  • Car rental, taxis or privat shuttle services also.
  • Travel to South Tyrol by shuttle bus service and Deutsche Bahn (German Railways).
  • Take advantage of the DB/ÖBB (German and Austrian Railways) combined shuttlebus and train ticket to get to South Tyrol at a reasonable price. Tickets can be booked in all Deutsche Bahn (DB) AG travel centres, in licensed travel agencies, online at www.bahn.de as well as at the departure terminal counter opposite the check-in counters in Verona Airport (marked with the DB logo).
  • The Alto Adige Bus departs five times daily, seven days a week from Verona Airport to South Tyrol.
From Munich Airport to South Tyrol: 
  • Car rental, taxi or privat shuttle services from Munich to South Tyrol.
  • The Alto Adige Bus departs up to six times daily, seven days a week from Munich Airport to South Tyrol. 
  • Mein Fernbus/FlixBus bus services depart several times a day from Munich to South Tyrol. 
From Bergamo Airport Orio al Serioc to South Tyrol:
  • The Alto Adige Bus departs up to five times daily, seven days a week from Bergamo Airport (via Verona Airport) to South Tyrol. 
From Milan airports Malpensa and Milan Linate to South Tyrol: 
  • It’s just three and a half hours by car from Milan to South Tyrol.
  • Car rental, taxi or privat shuttle services from Milan to South Tyrol
  • The Alto Adige Bus departs up to five times daily, seven days a week from Milan Malpensa Airport (via Bergamo and Verona airports) to South Tyrol. 

Many accommodations providers offer a shuttle service (prior booking required).

From the north 

The quick and easy way to get to Bolzano/Bozen (South Tyrol) on the trains of German (DB) or Austrian Railways (ÖBB). There are five daily connections from Munich (via Innsbruck - Brennero/Brenner) to South Tyrol. Bolzano/Bozen can be reached in just under four hours. 

From the south

The quick and easy way to get to Bolzano/Bozen from Rome, Florence, Bologna, Verona, Trento and Rovereto is on the Frecciargento trains (Trenitalia). There are eight connections from Monday to Thursday, and as many as ten from Friday to Sunday.

Your transfer by bus will be comfortable with: 
  • Mein Fernbus/FlixBus bus companies. Three times a day from Munich and Innsbruck to Bolzano/Bozen.#
  • Alto Adige Transfer will pick you up at a Mein Fernbus/FlixBus bus stop and take you directly to your South Tyrolean holiday accommodation. 
From Bolzano/Bozen to Val d’Ega

40 minutes’ drive with the bus line n°180 www.sii.bz.it or privat taxi companies (20-30 minutes) from the Bolzano/Bozen train or bus station to the villages in Val d’Ega holiday area.

Many accommodations providers offer a shuttle service (prior booking required).

Remote Bus

Eggental can be reached using the Brenner Motorway (A 22). Coming from the north, follow the route Innsbruck - Brennero – Bolzano Nord/Val d’Ega. Coming from the south, follow Verona - Trento – Bolzano Nord/Val d’Ega. Take the Bolzano Nord/Val d’Ega exit. Following the well-marked roads, you should reach the first localities in about 20 minutes.
