Experience Eggental responsibly

Sustainability is an important part of the Eggental 2030 strategy and is put into practice through projects and initiatives focusing on mobility, regional value creation, nature conservation and awareness raising.

The destination's sustainability programme is based on the criteria of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), the internationally recognised standard for sustainable tourism. GSTC certification represents an important milestone in the development of the destination and supports the continuous improvement of measures and projects implemented throughout the region. Measures and projects are developed by considering their economic, environmental and social impacts while contributing to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Visitors can also contribute through simple everyday choices: using public transport, exploring the region on foot or by bike, and choosing regional products. In this way, visitors can experience the Eggental responsibly while supporting the destination's long-term development through everyday choices.
