With the public bus line
- 182 from Bolzano/Bozen via Collepietra/Steinegg to the bus stop "Dörer Wiese/Schenkenparkplatz"
- 187 from Nova Levante/Welschnofen to the "Dörer Wiese/Schenkenparkplatz" bus stop,
- 180 from Nova Levante/Welschnofen to Ponte Nova/Birchabruck and change to bus 182 and then to the "Dörer Wiese/Schenkenparkplatz" bus stop,
- 181 from Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen to Ponte Nova/Birchabruck and change to 182 and then to the "Dörer Wiese/Schenkenparkplatz" bus stop,

Approx. 30-minute walk to the solar observatory.

By car:
Brenner (A 22 Brenner motorway, toll) - Bolzano Nord/Val d'Ega motorway exit - then approx. 0.5 km towards Bolzano/Bozen at the roundabout, turn left into Val d'Ega (SS 241) and then continue on the long Dolomite road, before Ponte Nova/Birchabruck turn left towards San Valentino/Gummer and San Valentino di Sopra/Obergummer (approx. 30 minutes from the motorway exit).
Turn left at the "Observatory" crossroads.
