This cozy circular hike combines nature, panorama, and a piece of history around Lake Karer. It leads along the Elisabeth Promenade to the historic Elisabeth Monument and then continues over the idyllic Frin meadows, where an impressive 360° panorama of the Rosengarten and Latemar awaits. Along the way, you pass an old grain mill before returning to the starting point. The route commemorates Empress Elisabeth of Austria, called Sissi, who stayed at the Grand Hotel Lake Karer in summer 1897. She loved hiking. Her favored walking path was later named after her. A small memorial plaque along the route still recalls her stay in this region today.

There is the Elisabeth Monument, commemorating Empress Elisabeth's visit in 1897. Returning to the trail junction, continue on trail [6], which leads to the extensive Frin meadows.
