In winter, when Lake Carezza is covered with snow, the surrounding forest is transformed into a romantic winter landscape, while the mystical mountain backdrop of the Latemar towers over the lake.
Start is at the Paolina car park behind the ski pass office. Follow the path down to the church St. Josef | San Giuseppe, turn right and walk along the street König Laurin Straße | Via Re Laurino to the playground, turn left in front of the Kupferkanne restaurant and follow the winter hiking trail to the street Schönblickweg | Via Bellavista. Continue following the signs to the Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza) hiking trail [6] and over the suspension bridge to the car park Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza) and continue through the subway to the lake.
