This excursion is suitable for everybody and offers a breathtaking view to the Dolomites mountains.
Starting from Nova Levantw/ Welschnofen over the Passo Nigra/ Nigerpass to the Messnerjoch alpine hut, where homemade cakes, South Tyrolean specialities, a great children's playground and above all the sunny panoramic terrace of the alpine hut invite you to linger.

Directions
This hiking tour starts on the parking lot cable car Nova Levante. From here along the trail [3A] until the hotel Rechenmachers. Than take the path "Nigertalweg | Valle Nigra" until the Nigerpass/Passo Nigra (1,688m). Accross the path [1] you reach the Messnerjoch hut (1930m) with an amazing view to the Dolomites mountains Latemar, Corno Bianco and Corno Nero. To start back to Nova Levante you can take the same way or walk by path [1B] and [15] until the village.

The short variant begins in Welschnofen | Nova Levante with an ascent by cable car to the Frommer hut and then on the path [1B] to the Messnerjoch hut.
The return is along the same route. (Duration: 1.5 hours; ascent: 200 metres; length: 3.4 km).
