The starting point is the village centre of Ega/Eggen (1,120 m). Trail [7A] leads past the Grotthof farm and trail [S] to the Häusler Sam tavern, a worthwhile place to call in for refreshments. Häusler Sam’s magnificent location invites hikers to rest and relax. Return via hiking trail [8] to the Bewallerhof hotel and on trail [8B] and [10] straight back to the village of Ega.
