This hike takes you on an exciting journey into the past to a fascinating prehistoric settlement nestled in a picturesque mountain landscape. From the village center, the path gently leads over soft meadows and past traditional farms that bring the farming life of South Tyrol to life.
Along the way, the Höggerhof snack station invites you to a well-deserved break with homemade, hearty fare – here you recharge your energy for the further ascent. Then it continues to an idyllically situated farm before the path leads to the distinctive rocky summit of the prehistoric settlement. Once at the top, you are rewarded with an impressive panoramic view that invites you to marvel and linger.

The starting point is the village center of Deutschnofen. Follow path [K] over meadows and past beautiful farms to the Höggerhof snack station, where a cozy refreshment with typical home-style cooking awaits.
From there, continue to Schadnerhof. Then follow path [R] up to the distinctive rocky summit of the prehistoric settlement Enzbirch, where you can enjoy an impressive view.
For the return, take path [10] to the managed Wölflhof and then follow the long-distance hiking trail [E5] back to the village center.
Total duration: approx. 2 hours, easy hike.
