This high trail on the Rosengarten | Catinaccio leads to a bronze eagle, the Christomannos Monument, which commemorates Theodor Christomannos. His life's work was the extension of the famous Dolomite road from Welschnofen | Nova Levante to Cortina.
The route leads from the top station of the King Laurin I & II cable car at the Laurins Lounge (2,337 m) via trails [549], [552] (lower Hirzelsteig trail) to the Paolina Hut and on trail [539] to the Christomannos Monument. From here return along the same path.
Variant: from the Village Carezza take the Paolina chairlift to the Paolina Hut. Then simply walk the route described above in the opposite direction.
