The Taufen Trail leads through an idyllic forest where wood was once felled for the production of wine barrels.
The trail winds through peaceful woodland areas around Gummer | San Valentino in Campo and Welschnofen | Nova Levante and offers an immersive nature experience suitable for the whole family. The name of the trail comes from the so-called “Taufen” wood, which was once felled in these forests and used to make wine barrels. The hike therefore combines the natural landscape of the Eggental Valley with an insight into the historical use of its forests.
