This via ferrata is a classic in the Dolomites and is framed by rugged walls and towers with magnificent views. The via ferrata is relatively short with difficult Alpine passages that require Alpine experience.

The tour begins at the mountain station of the cable car König Laurin II near the Fronza alle Coronelle | Kölner hut (2,337 m). Trail [542] leads from here to the beginning of the via ferrata where the ascent is secured (300 m). The most difficult section is the often iced canyon (attention: icy in early summer). After crossing the iced canyon, one arrives at the Santnerpass hut (2,734 m). Descent is via trail [542] to the Re Alberto | Gartl hut and Vajolet hut. Continue on trail [541] and [550] via the Tschagerjoch | Passo Coronelle ridge back to the starting point.
Difficulty: medium-difficult (B/C) - only for sure-footed climbers with climbing equipment and experience.
Caution: (Old) snow fields danger of slipping and falling! Only for sure-footed hikers with appropriate equipment.
