The photo exhibition “Stories of Emigration” is dedicated to a remarkable chapter in Tyrolean and South Tyrolean history: emigration to Brazil between 1934 and 1937 and the settlement in Treze Tílias.
The photographs by Othmar Seehauser tell the stories of the people and their lives in their new home. They build a bridge between South Tyrol and Treze Tílias in Brazil, bringing the history of emigration vividly to life.
The exhibition offers an insight into personal stories, new beginnings far from home and the connection to their roots that has remained alive across generations.
The official opening will take place on 18 September 2026 at 6:00 p.m..
