Route: Obereggen, ascent by chairlift – Trail No. 22 – Mayrl Alm – return along the Latemar.Natura path to the Oberholz mountain station and descent by chairlift to Obereggen.
Start: 10:00 a.m., Tourist Office Obereggen | Return: 3:00 p.m. | Duration: 5 hours | Walking time: 2 hours | Requirement: good shoes
Altitude difference: 150 m to Mayrl Alm | Difficulty: easy | With stop at mountain hut | Chairlift: for a fee | Bringing a drink is recommended.
Route
With the public bus line:- 181 from Bolzano and Ponte Nova,
- 184 from Pietralba, Monte S. Pietro, Nova Ponente, Nova Levante, Ega and Stenk,
bus stop: Obereggen; online bus timetables on the website of South Tyrol Mobility.
By car: Take highway´s exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the right and continue to Obereggen (about 30 min. from highway toll booth).
