At the Forest Experience Area "Öl" in Steinegg|Collepietra, you can discover the forest from a whole new perspective: as a natural playground that leaves plenty of room for imagination, movement and shared experiences.

With just a few deliberately simple elements made from natural materials, the forest itself takes centre stage. Hollow tree trunks invite you to test your aim by throwing spruce cones, while logs and tree stumps become a balancing course. On the barefoot trail, you can experience the different materials of the forest with all your senses. A small wooden hut provides children with another space to play and explore.

Above all, there is plenty of room for your own ideas. There is no right or wrong way to play here. Climb, balance, collect, observe or invent your own forest game – and simply let nature inspire you.

Several picnic areas invite you to pause and enjoy time together. The area is also accessible with pushchairs, making it easy to reach for families with young children.

A place where the forest can be what it has always been: one big natural playground.
