Hike from Obereggen to Lake Carezza via the path "Templweg"

The hike starts at the upper parking area in Obereggen (1,550 m). Follow trail [9] gently downhill toward the Bewallerhof, then continue along the scenic Tempelweg [8] through peaceful forest and open meadows with panoramic Dolomite views.

A detour to Häusler Sam is possible via trail [S], or alternatively to the Stadl Alm via trails [25A] and [25]. Return to trail [8], which leads directly to the Karer See / Lake Carezza (1,520 m) – a magical alpine lake with turquoise reflections.

For the return, follow the same trail [8] back to Obereggen. The total hike takes about 4.5–5 hours and covers approx. 12 km with moderate elevation changes.

Alternative route: Start in Eggen (1,120 m). From the village square, take trail [10], then climb on trail [8B] to join trail [8], and follow it to the lake.
