By using the scale of 1:1 billion to represent the solar system, in the ‘star village’ of San Valentino in Campo it is possible to hike from Mercury to Pluto in just a few hours.
The route begins at the “Max Valier” astronomical observatory near the Unteregger tavern (1,315 m) in San Valentino in Campo di Sopra/Obergummer. From here, follow trail no. 5 to the Vajolet tavern, continuing on trail no. 5 to the biotope. Then pass the sign for the Planetenweg (planet trail) on trail no. 3 until you reach the Landgasthof Lärchenwald tavern (1,350 m). Continue on trail no. 1 as far as the next Planentenweg signpost. Pass by the Schenken car park (1,300 m) on trail nos. 3 and 5A until you reach the Moser Weiher pond and the next Planetenweg signpost. Continue on trail no. 5 to the Tschigghof farm (1,332 m).
