Mountain panorama, adventure and turquoise water - this adventurous hike in the middle of the legendary mountain world of King Laurin is an absolute highlight for the whole family. The metres in altitude are comfortably conquered with the mountain railways, so that you can enjoy the panorama from above without too much effort. Huts with panoramic terraces invite you to linger, while Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza) enchants young and old with its rainbow colours.

Directions

The starting point is at the Welschnofen | Nova Levante cable car, which comfortably takes you up to the Frommer Alm hut. From here, the König Laurin I & II cable cars continue up to the Kölner | Fronza alle Coronelle hut and Laurin’s Lounge. Following the Hirzel path [549] & [552] (surefootedness required in some sections), you hike to the Paolina hut, where the sun terrace offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. The Paolina chairlift then takes you down to the village of Carezza. From the Paolina valley station, follow path [6] past the small St. Joseph’s Chapel to the pension Lake & River. After crossing the main road, continue on path [10] to Lake Carezza. After circling the lake, the path leads to the visitor center and across the parking area to the suspension bridge. Once across, follow path [6] again until the junction with path [16], which leads to the hotel Moseralm and the Tschein chairlift. The chairlift takes you comfortably up to the Tscheinberg | Monte Coronella before returning via the König Laurin I cable car and the Welschnofen | Nova Levante cable car to the starting point.
