The Obereggen Huts Festival
Young and old come together here and enjoy themselves while hiking, eating and drinking together. The Schupfenfest also brings the Oberholz alpine hut at the foot of the Latemar Dolomite mountain to life with a wide range of culinary delights and great entertainment.
On this special day, visitors can easily reach the Val d'Ega mountain pastures from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm using the ‘Obereggen-Ochsenweide’ gondola lift or the ‘Obereggen-Oberholz’ panoramic chairlift. Both lifts are offering the return journey at a special price of 5 euros especially for this occasion.
Route
With the public bus line:- 181 from Bolzano and Ponte Nova,
- 184 from Pietralba, Monte S. Pietro, Nova Ponente, Nova Levante, Ega and Stenk,
bus stop: Obereggen; online bus timetables on the website of South Tyrol Mobility.
By car: Take highway´s exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the right and continue to Obereggen (about 30 min. from highway toll booth).
