The Latemarronda in Val d'Ega
The bike classic in the Dolomites
It is the one and only among the bike tours in Val d'Ega and the Dolomites: the Latemarronda! Cycle once around the imposing rock massif. Experience the Dolomite mountain from all sides! What sounds like an undertaking that only the most indefatigable biking experts should dare is actually an adventure that even families with children can experience. Because this tour can be approached in two ways!
For families: Latemarronda clockwise
On the other hand, down-and-out cyclists, e-bikers or families can tackle the Eggental classic on an exciting full-day tour in the other direction. Obereggen is the starting point - although it is also easy to get on in the other villages. The route first goes downhill to the Malga Stadlalm and then on to Welschnofen. There the cable car takes over the 550-metre ascent to the Frommer Alm. The route continues uphill to the Karer Pass and then down to the Fassa Valley and Moena. Following the Aviso river, the route leads to the valley station of the Predazzo-Gardonè cable car, which floats up to the Baita Gardonè. At the top, take the chairlift to Passo Feudo (2200m). Once at the top, it's all downhill: to the Ganischg and Zischg alpine pastures, then along the alpine pasture road from the Reiterjoch to the Epircher-Laner alpine pasture and back to Obereggen. The fabulous mountain landscape between Rosengarten and Latemar and the adventure that this tour entails over 34 km and 380 hm are absolutely worth every effort!
