Walk to St. Leonhard

The walk starts at the pilgrimage site Maria Weißenstein at 1,520 m altitude.
From the car park or directly from the monastery, follow the well-marked hiking trail [4]. The path initially runs through a small wooded area, then opens into wide meadow sections with beautiful views of the Eggental.
After about 1.5 km you reach the settlement of St. Leonhard at around 1,460 m altitude.
The route is about 2 km long, slightly downhill, and can be comfortably managed in about 40 minutes. Return on the same path or as part of a longer circular hike is possible.

The starting point of the route is easily and conveniently accessible by public transport.

- 180 or 184 from Karersee, Karerpass, Welschnofen
- 184 from Birchabruck, Stenk, Eggen
- 184 from Petersberg, Deutschnofen
- 182 from Steinegg, Gummer
- 180 from Fassatal
