Hike from Obereggen to Karer See via the "Temple Path"

The hike starts at the upper parking lot in Obereggen (1,550 m). From there, follow path [9] gently downhill towards Bewallerhof. From here, the Temple Path [8] leads through beautiful forest sections, past alpine meadows, and with wonderful views of the Dolomites.

A detour to Häusler Sam is possible via path [S], or alternatively to Stadl Alm via paths [25A] and then [25]. Afterwards, return to the Temple Path [8] and continue hiking to Karer See (1,520 m) – a dreamlike destination with crystal-clear water.

The return route follows the same path [8] back to Obereggen. The entire tour takes about 4.5–5 hours and covers approximately 12 kilometers with moderate elevation change.

Alternative route: start in Eggen (1,120 m). From the village square via path [10], then on path [8B] until it connects with path [8]. From there, follow the main route to Karer See.

- 180 and 184 from Fassatal
