This family-friendly circular hike around Collepietra combines nature with unique viewpoints – perfect for a half day full of discoveries. Right at the start, you'll reach the Spitzköfele, a quiet panoramic spot with views of Steinegg|Collepietra, the Schlern|Sciliar and the Ritten|Renon plateau. A great place for your first break – and maybe a picnic.
A little further on, you'll arrive at the Mountain Cinema "Steineggerhof" – a special spot with wooden chairs and a stylised cinema frame. Centre stage: the majestic Schlern|Sciliar, flanked by the Rosengarten|Catinaccio. With a bit of luck, you’ll also glimpse the earth pyramids of Steinegg|Collepietra.
Following the trail around the Pstosser Bühl, you’ll pass an open-air exhibition on astronomical themes. And if you're hiking with children, the Pstosser Bühl forest playground is the perfect stop for young adventurers.
An easy-going, varied tour full of little highlights and sweeping panoramas.
The hike starts from the village square in Steinegg|Collepietra, next to the Lex Market shop, following trail markers [2 | 7 | 8]. You first walk through a residential area, then continue along forest and meadow paths. Follow trail [8] until the junction with [8A], which leads you to the Spitzköfele – a peaceful panoramic spot with a bench and picnic table, ideal for a short break.
From there, the trail climbs slightly before you turn left onto trail [6], descending towards the Kummerhof. Follow the farm road to reach the main road. Turn right for a short stretch, cross the road at the chapel "Zum Weißen Bild", and follow trail [2B] uphill to the hotel Steineggerhof.
Behind the hotel, trail [2B] leads directly to the "Steineggerhof" Mountain Cinema, where wooden seats invite you to enjoy views stretching from the Ritten|Renon and Eisack Valley to the Schlern|Sciliar, Tschafon and Rosengarten|Catinaccio. Continue on trail [2B], passing the open-air exhibition and the forest playground at Pstosser Bühl. Stay on trail [2B] as it descends back into the village and leads you to the starting point.
