This relaxing winter hike leads through idyllic snow-covered forests and meadows to the rustic Häusler Sam hut, which is modestly situated in a clearing surrounded by forest. It is well worth a visit to sample the delicious specialities of South Tyrolean cuisine (open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays).
Directions
This winter hike starts at the car park at Lake Carezza, through the underpass and along the right bank of Lake Carezza to the hiking trail [8], which leads to Obereggen. Follow the Templ path [8] and the signposting "Almgasthaus Baita Häusler Sam". Finally turn right onto the path [S-Sam path], which leads to the Häusler Sam hut.
