FAMILY CYCLING AND HIKING DAY along the Nigerstraße

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the Nigerstraße at the foot of the Rosengarten will be reserved exclusively for hikers and cyclists. From 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the road will be closed to car and motorcycle traffic. The cable cars from Welschnofen and Tiers will bring all visitors to the Nigerstraße without using a car. Along the route, restaurants offer delicious local specialties, and a horse-drawn carriage runs every half hour between Franzin Alm and Frommer Alm. E-bikes can be rented at the bike rental at the top station of the Welschnofen/Frommer Alm cable car.

As part of the Family Bike & Hiking Day, the second edition of the Family Challenge takes place along the Nigerstraße. During this exciting event, families and children can complete fun games and challenging tasks, with the chance to win great prizes. A perfect day full of fun, exercise, and family adventures in nature!

At the same time, families can enjoy Carezza Family Sunday: for only €44, 2 adults and 2 children can use all 6 summer cable cars without restrictions: Welschnofen, König Laurin 1 & 2, Paolina & Tschein chairlifts, and the new Cabrio-Bahn in Tiers. This offer is valid for pedestrians only.

Hop on your bike, lace up your hiking boots, and go – enjoy an unforgettable day at the foot of the Rosengarten!

- 184 from Obereggen, Eggen | Ega (or 184 and change 180)
- 187 from Steinegg | Collepietra, Gummer | San Valentino (or 182 and change 180)
