An adventure that sparks imagination and curiosity: This immersive audio hike at Latemar turns kids and families into bold nature detectives. Together with Klara and Toni, you set off at the break of dawn to discover the secrets of the forest – when suddenly, a gunshot echoes through the trees. A poacher is on the loose! Can you solve the riddles, follow the clues, and catch the culprit?
This family-friendly trail combines storytelling, discovery, and play in the heart of the Dolomites. With a captivating audio drama, an adventure booklet, and creative installations along the path, children aged 6 to 14 dive into a world of legends, wildlife encounters, and natural wonders.
As they move through the forest, kids stay active, sharpen their minds, and collect points that contribute to reforestation efforts – learning through fun how to care for the environment.
An unforgettable experience for young explorers and their families – full of mystery, movement, and meaningful moments.
The adventure “On the Poacher’s Trail” starts at the Obereggen upper cable car station (1,550 m), which can be easily reached via the Ochsenweide gondola lift. You can also start from the Obereggen valley station parking lot.
From the top station, follow trail [23] toward LATEMAR.NATURA, a themed circular trail well signposted through forest and meadow landscapes.
After a few minutes, you’ll reach the first interactive station with a QR code that activates the audio story via app. Along the trail, you'll discover:
Audio points with QR codes for the story
Clues, puzzles, and interactive challenges
Hands-on learning installations
Wildlife observation points
The full trail is 1.3 km long and takes around 2 hours including play and puzzle breaks. It is stroller-friendly and suitable for young children.
The loop ends back at the starting point near the top station. From there, you can ride the gondola back to the valley or continue your hike on the LATEMAR.PANORAMA themed trail.
