Shooting star night at the "Max Valier" observatory
At the climax of the shooting star fall of the Perseids, the amateur astronomers "Max Valier" organise an open night at the "Max Valier" observatory.
With your own blanket on the fields around the observatory, it is wonderful to sink into the night sky and count shooting stars.
Visitors also have the opportunity to look through the observatory's telescopes and get a close-up view of exciting objects in the night sky. The amateur astronomers inform visitors about constellations, shooting stars and much more.
Reservations are not necessary and the visit is free of charge.

Unfortunately, the observatory is not accessible by public transport at night.By car:

Good to know
Warm clothing - even in the summer months, the nights can be reasonably fresh at 1,300 m.
