Game & Forest Weeks in the Eggental valley

Discover the culinary diversity at the Eggental Game & Forest Culinary Weeks and embark on a flavorful journey from September 20th to October 6th, 2024. Selected restaurants transform the treasures of Eggental valley into delicious dishes.

In addition to culinary delights, there is a special program that allows you to experience the Eggental forest up close:

• Opening event Game & Forest: experience a unique culinary event in South Tyrol’s highest panoramic lounge, marking the start of the renowned culinary weeks. Enjoy regional specialties that highlight the autumnal treasures of the Eggental, accompanied by live music in a cozy atmosphere.
• Watch the innovative young farmers of Kirnig – South Tyrolean gourmet mushrooms and participate in the guided visit and the mushroom tasting.
• Immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of the forest with forest bathing in Obereggen and Gummer under the guidance of Georg Krichmaier (forest educator and geobiologist).
• Join a discovery tour with hiking guide Irene Eder exploring wild berries and fruits.
• Learn about interesting and curious facts regarding the different parts of the fir tree in the herbal workshop with FNL herb expert Sieglinde Gall. Together, you'll create soothing care products for body and mind.
• During the Thanksgiving Lunch three renowned chefs from the region - Philip Lochmann from Gourmethotel Engel (Welschnofen), Reinhard Daverda from Naturhotel Pfösl (Deutschnofen) and Kurt Resch from Biohotel Steineggerhof (Steinegg), as well as the farmers from Deutschnofen will be creating a very special lunch.
